HOPE
(The Esperanto Anthem)

En la mondon venis nova sento,
Tra la mondo iras forta voko;
Per flugiloj de facila vento
Nun de loko flugu ĝi al loko.

Ne al glavo sangon soifanta
Ĝi la homan tiras familion:
Al la mond' eterne militanta
Ĝi promesas sanktan harmonion.

Sub la sankta signo de l' espero
Kolektiĝas pacaj batalantoj,
Kaj rapide kreskas la afero
Per laboro de la esperantoj.

Forte staras muroj de miljaroj
Inter la popoloj dividitaj;
Sed dissaltos la obstinaj baroj,
Per la sankta amo disbatitaj.

Sur neŭtrala lingva fundamento,
Komprenante unu la alian,
La popoloj faros en konsento
Unu grandan rondon familian.

Nia diligenta kolegaro
En laboro paca ne laciĝos,
Ĝis la bela sonĝo de l' homaro
Por eterna ben' efektiviĝos.

Into the world came a new feeling
Through the world goes a powerful call
By the wings of a gentle wind
It shall now fly from place to place

Not to the sword thirsting for blood
Does it draw the human family
To the world eternally at war
It promises sacred harmony

Under the sacred sign of Hope
Gather the warriors of peace
And this thing quickly grows
By the labors of those who hope

The walls of a thousand years stand firm
Between the divided peoples
But the stubborn barriers will crumble
Knocked down with sacred love

Based on a neutral language
Understanding one another
The people will agree to make
One great family circle

Our diligent colleagues
In peaceful labor will never tire
Until the beautiful dream of humanity
For eternal good is realized

THE WAY

Tra densa mallumo briletas la celo,
Al kiu kuraĝe ni iras.
Simile al stelo en nokta ĉielo,
Al ni la direkton ĝi diras.
Kaj nin ne timigas la noktaj fantomoj,
Nek batoj de l' sorto, nek mokoj de l' homoj,
Ĉar klara kaj rekta kaj tre difinita
Ĝi estas, la voj' elektita

Nur rekte, kuraĝe kaj ne flankiĝante
Ni iru la vojon celitan!
Eĉ guto malgranda, konstante frapante,
Traboras la monton granitan.
L' espero. l' obstino kaj la pacienco —
Jen estas la signoj, per kies potenco
Ni paŝo post paŝo, post longa laboro,
Atingos la celon en gloro.

Ni semas kaj semas, neniam laciĝas.
Pri l' tempoj estontaj pensante.
Cent semoj perdiĝas, mil semoj perdiĝas, —
Ni semas kaj semas konstante.
«Ho, ĉesu!» mokante la homoj admonas, —
«Ne ĉesu, ne ĉesu!» en kor' al ni sonas:
«Obstine antaŭen! La nepoj vin benos,
Se vi pacience eltenos».

Se longa sekeco aŭ ventoj subitaj
Velkantajn foliojn deŝiras,
Ni dankas la ventojn, kaj, repurigitaj,
Ni forton pli freŝan akiras.
Ne mortos jam nia bravega anaro,
Ĝin jam ne timigos la vento, nek staro,
Obstine ĝi paŝas, provita, hardita,
Al cel' unu fojon signita!

Through a thick darkness the objective glows
To which we go bravely
The same as stars in the night sky
They show us direction.
And the night ghosts do not make us afraid
Nor the strikes of furtune, nor men's mockery,
Because clear and straight and very definite
It is the elected Way.

Only even, brave and non diverting
Let's go on the meant way!
Even a little drop, striking constantly
Makes a hole through the granite mountain.
Hope, stubbornness, and Patience.
There are the signs by which power
We step by step, after a long work,
Will reach our aim in glory.

We sow and sow, never getting tired
Thinking of future.
A hundred seeds get lost, a thousand get lost,

"Oh, stop!", moking people advice

Stubborn forward! Your grandchildren will bless you
If you patiently go on.

If a long drought or sudden winds
Make dying leaves disappear
We thank the wind, and, renewed,
We acquire a fresher strength
Our brave members will not die
They are not afraid of the wind, or standing Stubbornly they pass proven, hardened,
To the objective once signed!

Well, straight, bravely and not sideways
Let's take the intended way!
Even a little drop, constantly knocking,
